| Wow... it's been so long since I've played a good game of mafia. Ah man... I was in for all four rounds, mafia twice, vigilante once, and facestabber once. AND I got down to final three as a mafia member with a doctor and a townsperson. I convinced Jenn that Evan was the mafia! How epic!
So yesterday was the first day I've actually had good Indian food. HURRAY. But I still won't eat it on campus I think... It's not very good on campus. Unless there's watermelon!
A sneaked some illegal pictures at the art museum... >.>
Mitchell's house is really big... o.o And I learned a new pool game! It doesn't use sticks and only the cue and 8 ball... it's almost legit.
It looks like OJCL is going to happen this year! Still unsure about NJCL... But that matter can be settled in the future. The only problems with OJCL are, not the Greyhound busses themselves, but the 3 mile trip between campus and the Greyhound busstop, and then the 8 mile trip between the Greyhound busstop and the Ramada hotel... Maybe I'll hitchhike. :P
Speaking of which, JCL skit practice today! Gotta return Meryem's scarf... and see skit progress! I should go print out a script...

| So... things I've gotten for Christmas because I like to keep lists.
Irving, my trombone! Yamaha slide tenor and a brand new mouth piece! Clogs that aren't heavy! A jewelry keeper/mirror (nice). A 3D puzzle glass egg thing. The new Artemis Fowl book (child's reading mayhaps, but I started the series long ago so I might as well finish) "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy" (the book, but it has the movie poster as its cover) A book I already have... xP Whoops! Yey charity! "Smart People" - bad movie, but like the whole thing was filmed on CMU's campus! So that's cool. Another DVD called... "A Guy Thing"? Never heard o' it. 20 Questions, the music version. "Warm Strangers", an older Vienna Teng CD. A compilation CD of 80's songs. A pin that says AWESOME that I can use as flair! And some other things... my memory is failing... I'll write the rest later!
And not a Snuggie or a Shamwow... darn. :P
Mom said she might find me a belated MP3 player. They didn't have the specifics I requested when she shopped. I may buy one myself. We shall see...
Also... No new phone! YEY! And that's not sarcasm, I like my near-archaic phone. The Nokia stays. :)
Merry Christmas! Or Happy Hanukkah! Or just have a nice day! :D

| So, Facebook apparently got rid of the Project Playlist application? So, now instead of a banner I have my music. I guess that's good because now I won't get ambushed by Facebook chat when I just want to listen to some tunes.
So, I've received two gifts so far and they are lovely. The first I had to pick out myself. I went to a pawn shop with my dad and found Irving, my new Yamaha tenor slide trombone. He was only about $110. However, he didn't have a mouthpiece... and that cost about $52. You can't win 'em all!
We have few family traditions, and one is opening a gift on Christmas Eve. Normally we do this in the evening, but my parents have a party to go to tonight... So this other gift is a pair of clogs, which are awesome because they're like sandals for winter! And these don't weigh my feet down like my current ones. Yey.
So... when you live in Pittsburgh, you think the weather is pretty crazy. It snows, it's windy, it's cold, it's cloudy... Well, when you come back to Cincinnati, you realize Pittsburgh ain't got nuthin. During the last week I've seen some pretty crazy weather. I drove here through a mild snowstorm. The next day it was just cloudy and windy, and the day after the wind was still there but it was warm... like high 50's! Then it gets colder... and then really cold the other day during frisbee (wind chill of 1!) and then there's an ice storm which turns to sleet and then just rain. And now everything is wet, it's mildly windy, clouds are either brooding and dark or fair enough for the sun to shine through and make sunset colors. Also, we're in the high 40's...
I think to be a meteorologist in this town you need to be right about... 5% of the time. And non-regional diction.
TOP CHEF. What a brilliant show. I wish I could cook! Agghhh. Maybe I'll find a nice beginner's cookbook while I'm here and maybe experiment a little in my kitchen, here and in Henderson. Who knows...
Anyway, new episode tonight... :D Yes, this is how I spend my holidays. Watching random shows.
I'm also reading, you cynics. Gardens of Water... I was actually skeptical at first, because it handles some pretty typical stuff teenagers go through in a relationship. But the setting in a more traditional Kurdish family adds enough to make it unfamiliar and interesting. Plus, I know the author! That's pretty cool.
I downloaded an emulator with Pokemon Pinball... this might have been a bad idea... but I don't care.
Random note-to-self: remember to bring some more N64 games back to Henderson.
Woah... I leave for Massillon (northern Ohio, don't get excited) the day after Christmas... Gotta see the aunts and uncles and cousins and whatnot. Sigh... I wasn't there last year because of the Rose Parade. They're going to ask me so many questions... "How was the parade last year?" "Did you like your senior year of high school?" "Where'd you get these senior pictures taken?" "How are you liking Pittsburgh?" "How are you liking college?" I'm considering just making a little newsletter FAQ thing that I can just pass out... :P

| Soooooo. I painted the fence and it was win. We wrote "KILTIE" on it. I bonded with some upperclassmen. Yeyyyy connections.
Um... Hopefully I won't go on academic probation after finals. :/ We'll see... I don't think I will... but you never know. I'm not very hopeful but sort of am? Eh. Both.
Pandora.com = good site. Same with scribd.com. Yey free sheet music (well, when you can find it anyway).
Dunno what else to say... I come home on Tuesday the 16th. I'll probably leave around 1:00, so I'll be back by like 6:00 which leaves ample time for maybe even doing something that very evening.
Plans for break: sleeping, eating not-dorm food (although it's really not much better at home), sleeping, reading books I've started or bought or just need to read, sleeping, playing video games, sleeping, sleeeping, sleeeeeeeeping, buying Christmas gifts, watching StrongBad e-mails, sleeping, skiing perhaps in New York but most likely just at PNS, and sleeping.
I go back Jan 11th. A Sunday. I should bring my trogbone and more N64 games like Pokemon Snap and Stadium and whatnot. Because we all know Bri and Connor don't play much of the N64 anymore. We has a Wii and a PS2, they can deal.
I thought about getting my ears pierced today. But not very seriously. I think the cons outweigh the pros for me... Besides, there are earrings with magnets, clip ons, and screw-ins (okay, not screw-ins... more like mini-clamps) that I can wear if I realllllllly want to.
Oh woah. Nearly time for Concepts. Last class of the semester... wow. How did that happen.
I'm in the cluster and everyone is working around me, even Taerim who is programming to my right as I type. I came in, checka-checked my Facebook, DeviantArt, e-mail which is kinda legit, and now Xanga. And... I also looked up some pokemon... I tried to play it off like it was research so I didn't seem like such a weirdo, but whatever. Folks can dealllll.
My writing style has totally changed. It's so much lamer. Or maybe not. Thoughts my readers? Or perhaps not? Eh.
EDIT: I'm too lazy to whip out my flash drive...

| Greetings from Maggie Murph Cafe in the Hunt Library!
Two words: boo physics. The test is never like the practice test. Rather, the test is never like EITHER of the practice tests... Oh well. Hopefully I'll pass. Labs and homework help. If not, ouch QPA, ouch no science credit this quarter, but life goes on.
More in tests: Concepts on Wednesday, Calc II on Friday. Oh, and a 6-page essay due next Monday... No weekend for me... x_x
Kiltie is over (sad yet nice) so I have Saturdays free now. Yey but also boo because Kiltie is win.
Orchestra is interesting nowadays. That's because of Justin. He plays first trombone in both Dvorak's New World Symphony and Gabrieli's Canzon Prima: La Spiritata (Which are the parts of the AUO concert the trombones play. There's also Egmont by Beethoven? I don't pay much attention.) Justin accidentally made flight plans for the day of our concert. Soooo. One of the bass bones has to play first part in Dvorak, and I'm all by myself on the first part in Gabrieli. Oh the nervousness. But section leader person Rob has faith in me. Plenty of practicing hopefully this week between studying.
Moral of the story: Thanksgiving break is going to be lovely and full of not-work. I'm stoked for frisbee on Friday a Ridge (B there or B^2).
In other news, I recently discovered the greatness that is Lilypond. Why write music when you can code it, amirite? I kinda wanna make a stand tune for Kiltie Band... I was thinking Mortal Kombat. But we'll see. Maybe over break I can get more work done on that... or maybe I'll wait until winter break. :)
